As part of a new NIHR-funded study called THRIVE (Transforming the Health of healthcaRe workers through behavioural InterVentions and Engagement), we are inviting NHS trusts to join a newly launched collaborative network called NHS-CHORUS. The purpose of NHS-CHORUS is to understand, share, and develop ways to encourage healthcare workers (HCWs) to be more physically active. As part of this overarching aim, we are bringing together Trusts and Trust representatives with an interest in the area, providing a forum for the sharing of best-practice, mapping existing practice in the area to date, and undertaking a rapid review of the literature regarding physical activity interventions for HCWs.
By registering to become part of NHS-CHROUS, Trusts gain: early access to a national overview of physical activity initiatives across the NHS, opportunities to help design programmes tailored to diverse staff groups, support for improving staff health, wellbeing and retention, inclusion in a national network influencing policy and practice, and opportunities to learn best practice from others.
By joining the network, Trusts will be invited to online meetings held approximately 3 months apart,
and added to a shared Teams space in which best-practice can be shared.
